Children planted cypresses in the green zone of Kyrenia
On the occasion of Tree and Forest Week, which will take place in Northern Cyprus from March 21 to 26, the students of the Color Land kindergarten planted young trees in the green zone of the Kyrenia municipality on Bahar Street.
The event was attended by a member of the Kyrenia municipality council and deputy mayor Hashim Yudjel, advisor to the mayor of Kyrenia Mustafa Ilgen, head of the Parks and Gardens Department Mehmet Atak, as well as teachers and students of the kindergarten.
As part of the event held in the green zone of the Kyrenia municipality located on Bahar Street, students planted cypress seedlings in various parts of the green area.
The event aimed to raise children's environmental awareness, teach them responsibility towards nature, and promote a green future for society.
