Accident on Güzelyurt – Girne Road: Truck Driver Detained
An accident involving a truck and a bus occurred on the Güzelyurt–Girne main road. No injuries were reported, but the vehicles sustained material damage.
According to the police, the 34-year-old truck driver, heading towards Güzelyurt, failed to maintain a safe following distance and collided with a bus that had slowed down due to traffic conditions.
During the inspection, it was discovered that the driver was operating the truck without the appropriate category of driver's license. He has been detained.
The investigation is ongoing.
