EU to allocate 2 million euros to support Turkish Cypriot businesses
The European Union has announced the launch of a new grant program for enterprises owned by members of the Turkish Cypriot community. The initiative aims to support small, medium, and micro-businesses under the EU aid program for the Turkish Cypriot community.
The total budget of the program is approximately 2 million euros. The project is implemented by GIZ International Services through the Eunite program and is funded by the European Union.
The main objective of the initiative is to enhance the competitiveness of local businesses, help them adapt to EU standards, and expand trade opportunities through the Green Line and access the European market.
Entrepreneurs can apply for the program until June 30 through the official program website Eunite Cyprus.
The program organizers note that the grants should contribute to business modernization, export potential development, and the strengthening of economic ties between Turkish Cypriot enterprises and the European Union market.
Special focus is expected to be given to companies ready to adopt European quality, sustainable development, and digitalization standards. According to program representatives, this will enable businesses to become more resilient and competitive in the regional and international economy.
