Lefke to Host 15th Walnut Festival on June 8
The 15th Lefke Walnut Festival will take place on Sunday, June 8, at the Lefke Bazaar Center.
Organized by the Lefke Tourism Association and the Lefke Municipality, the event will run from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
This year’s festival will open with a performance by athletes from the Lefke Turkish Sports Club. The day will be packed with free activities for children, nature walks, live music concerts, book launches, and a "Best Walnut Paste" contest.
Guests will also enjoy traditional demonstrations such as:

Making paluze (grape jelly) and gullurikiya (a local walnut sweet)

Basket weaving, chair caning, and woodcrafting

Sieve and strainer making, among others
In addition to cultural and culinary highlights, the festival will feature several exhibitions:
