He provided updates on current healthcare investments: the new state hospital in Nicosia with a 320+320 bed capacity was described as the largest hospital project in TRNC history; the new hospital in Kyrenia is set to have 116 beds and 5 operating rooms and is in its final stages; the hospital in Güzelyurt is also nearing completion.
Savaşan added that the ambulance fleet has been increased by 70%, an electronic prescription system has been introduced, the digital infrastructure for patient appointments has been strengthened, and the 1101 central appointment line has been expanded from 30 to 60 lines. Work is also underway on several laws, including those concerning the Inpatient Treatment Department and the State Laboratory.
On the occasion of March 14, Savaşan remembered the leader of the social struggle, Dr. Fazıl Küçük, and paid tribute to doctors and healthcare workers who lost their lives in the line of duty.
