The Head of the Turkish Ministry of Trade had a phone call with the ministers from the TRNC and the UAE
The Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey, Ömer Bolat, spoke on the phone with the Minister of Economy and Energy of the TRNC, Olgun Amcaoğlu, and the State Minister of Foreign Trade of the UAE, Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi.
During the talks, Ömer Bolat and Olgun Amcaoğlu congratulated each other on the holiday of Eid al-Fitr. They also discussed the possibilities of developing economic and trade relations between the two countries.
"The further strengthening of close cooperation between our countries plays an important role in the development of the TRNC economy and the liberation from the unjust isolation it has been subjected to. As Turkey, we believe that discrimination and economic isolation, which the TRNC and Turkish Cypriots suffer from, contradict international law.
We will continue to assert this on all international platforms and work for the benefit of the people of the TRNC," said the Minister of Trade of Turkey following the phone conversation.
During the phone call with the UAE representative, the ministers also mutually congratulated each other on the holiday of Eid al-Fitr and discussed economic and trade relations between the two countries.
"We have agreed to accelerate the necessary steps to increase the volume of our trade and investments, using the opportunities offered by the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between our countries. Our economic relations with the UAE, especially in trade, investment, energy, and tourism, will continue to strengthen. We will continue our work in this direction," Ömer Bolat said.
