DUE TO BAD WEATHER IN ISTANBUL, FLIGHTS ARE CANCELED, INCLUDING TO ERCAN
Turkish Airlines has canceled about 40 flights from Istanbul Airport. Including the morning flight to Ercan has already been cancelled.
“Due to unfavorable weather conditions expected in Istanbul tomorrow, in accordance with the decision of the Meteorological Emergency Committee, a total of 40 flights have been canceled,” the national air carrier’s press service said in a statement.
Passengers flying from Istanbul tomorrow are advised to check their flight in the “flight status request” section on the airline’s website.
According to the online scoreboard, among the excellent flights is the morning flight TK0960 to Ercan Airport, which was scheduled to depart at 8:25.
According to the online display of Istanbul’s second airport, Sabiha Gokcen International Airport, flights of Pegasus and Anadolu Jet airlines are still on schedule and have not been cancelled. However, if weather conditions worsen, flight delays may occur.
