Kıb-Tek to Cut Off Electricity for Overdue Payments Today
The Turkish Cypriot Electricity Authority (KIB-TEK) has issued a final warning to customers with outstanding debts, announcing that power disconnections will begin today, February 5.
According to KIB-TEK, electricity will be cut off for residential and business customers who have unpaid bills from January 2025 or earlier, with an outstanding balance of 675 TL or more.
Additionally, on Tuesday, power will be disconnected for customers—both individuals and businesses—who have defaulted on installment plans under legal agreements made with KIB-TEK.
To avoid service interruptions, customers are urged to settle their outstanding balances as soon as possible.
Power disconnections apply to debts exceeding 675 TL.
