Large-Scale Power Outage in Kyrenia

A large-scale power outage will take place in the Kyrenia (Girne) district due to maintenance and repair work on the high-voltage electrical network.

According to Kıb-Tek, electricity will be cut off from 09:00 to 15:30.

The outage will affect numerous areas and facilities, including:

— Kyrenia Police Department area,

— Doğanköy and its surroundings,

— Ozanköy,

— Kyrenia Marina and the city center,

— Karaoğlanoğlu, Edremit, and Zeytinlik areas,

— Girne Çarşı (Kyrenia City Center),

— Colony Hotel, Dome Hotel, Savoy Hotel, Rocks Hotel,

— Les Ambassadeurs Hotel and Jasmine Court Hotel,

— GAU (Girne American University) and surrounding dormitories,

— 20 Temmuz Stadium,

— Girne Akçiçek Hospital,

— Karaman (Karmi) and surrounding areas.

According to the energy company, the outage is related to planned network maintenance. Residents and businesses are asked to prepare in advance for the temporary lack of electricity.
