The Mayor of Kyrenia announced the results of beach water tests

The Mayor of Kyrenia, Murat Şenkul, shared the results of beach water analysis from June 16, 2025.

According to his statement, measurements taken at Kervansaray and Antis beaches showed that the water quality is at an “excellent” level.

It was noted that water quality has significantly improved, especially thanks to solving the sewage issue in the Kervansaray area.

The following results were announced according to the study:

• Kervansaray South Side: E. coli 0, Enterococcus 0;
• Kervansaray Merit Side: E. coli 190, Enterococcus 132;
• Kervansaray North Side: E. coli 0, Enterococcus 0;
• Antis Beach East Side: E. coli 0, Enterococcus 5;
• Antis Beach West Side: E. coli 0, Enterococcus 9.

Mayor Şenkul emphasized that the water quality had already been good, but with the measures taken, it has now reached a much better level.
