The minimum wage has been increased by more than 17%
The Minimum Wage Determination Commission has set the second minimum wage for 2025 at 51,202 lira gross and 44,546 lira net.
Accordingly, the minimum wage has increased by 17.79 percent, aligning with the most recently announced subsistence level.
The Minister of Labour and Social Security, speaking on behalf of the Minimum Wage Determination Commission, stated that the decision was made during the third meeting chaired by Sadık Gardiyanoğlu and was passed by a majority vote, with the employers' side voting against it.
"Gross 51,202 TL, net 44,546 TL, weekly 11,815.84 TL, daily 2,363.16 TL, hourly 295.39 TL," summarized Minister of Labour and Social Security Sadık Gardiyanoğlu.
