Storm Warning for Northern Cyprus on September 16
According to the TRNC Department of Meteorology, Northern Cyprus will experience stormy winds on Monday, September 16, due to low atmospheric pressure and hot, humid air in the region. The forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with no rain, but strong winds.
Temperatures have returned to seasonal averages, ranging from 27°C to 34°C across most parts of the country.
There are currently three weather warnings in place for Northern Cyprus:
- Strong Winds: Gale-force winds, reaching up to 8 on the Beaufort scale, are expected to last until the end of the day.
- Fire Risk: The risk of wildfires remains high due to dry conditions.
- High UV Levels: Ultraviolet radiation levels are also high, posing a risk to those spending extended periods outdoors.
Important Advice: Avoid being exposed to the sun for more than 15 minutes, especially between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, without proper protection.
