Heatwave Expected on Northern Cyprus on April 23, Reaching Up to 34 Degrees

According to the TRNC Meteorology Department, on Tuesday, April 23, the region will be under the influence of high pressure and warm, humid air. Dust has returned to Northern Cyprus.

Meteorologists forecast variable cloudiness with no precipitation. The air temperature is expected to be 7-9 degrees above seasonal climatic norms. In some areas, the thermometer will rise to 34°C.

The wind will be northwesterly, of moderate strength. No storms are expected in the region фtoday.

Three weather warnings are in effect for Northern Cyprus. The region maintains a moderate level of ultraviolet radiation and a high probability of forest fires.

People with normal skin can stay in the sun for about 20 minutes. However, it is strongly recommended to wear headgear and sunglasses.

Dust coming to the island from North Africa will persist until Thursday evening, April 25.
