On July 23, Northern Cyprus is experiencing 40-degree Celsius heat
According to the TRNC Department of Meteorology, on Tuesday, July 23, the region is affected by low pressure and hot, humid air. Meteorologists forecast clear to partly cloudy weather with no precipitation.
The air temperature remains 2-4°C above the seasonal norms. The hottest weather today is expected in Nicosia and Ercan, reaching up to 41°C, and in Lapta, reaching 32°C.
The wind is southwesterly and of moderate strength. No storms are expected today.
Two meteorological warnings are still in effect in Northern Cyprus. The risk of wildfires has been raised to a very high level, and the ultraviolet radiation level is also very high.
It is advised not to stay in the sun for more than 10 minutes, especially between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, without taking necessary precautions.
