The celebration of Nowruz has been canceled in Northern Cyprus

The event dedicated to the spring festival of Nowruz was canceled in the TRNC. It was supposed to take place today at the Atatürk Cultural Center in Nicosia.

The organizers of the Nowruz festival in the TRNC this year were the Cyprus International University and the Cyprus Center of the Azerbaijani Diaspora with the assistance of the Ministry of Culture of the TRNC.

According to the university's statement, the event was decided to be canceled "due to technical issues in the hall where the event was supposed to take place."

Earlier, it was reported that the event was organized with the approval of the TRNC authorities. It was supposed to be attended by Elman Nasirov, a deputy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as many government officials and high-ranking officials. Additionally, one of Azerbaijan's prominent artists, Chinara Melikzade, was scheduled to perform at the event.
