Cigarette Prices of Popular Brands Rise in Northern Cyprus
There has been a significant increase in the price of tobacco products in stores across the TRNC. Some cigarette brands have gone up by as much as 6 Turkish lira.
Philip Morris, the company that produces popular brands like Marlboro, Parliament, and Muratti, announced the price hikes for its products.
Specifically, after the increase, Marlboro cigarettes (Red, Gold, Touch Aqua, and others) now cost 71 TL, all varieties of Parliament are priced at 72 TL, and Muratti has risen to 70 TL.
Rolling tobacco prices have also increased: Marlboro Gold RYO (25 grams) now costs 63 TL, while Marlboro Gold RYO (45 grams) has risen to 109 TL.
In addition to traditional cigarettes, the price of sticks for electronic devices has also increased. The new price for Heets is 70 TL, Fiit is now 67 TL, and Terea products range from 71 to 74 TL.
These new prices will take effect starting today.
