Imported Meat Sells Out Rapidly in Northern Cyprus
In Northern Cyprus, a shipment of 21 tons of imported meat from the Netherlands has sold out rapidly. Due to high demand, nearly all the frozen meat products that arrived on June 6 have been purchased within a short time.
Rashit Shenkaya, President of the Butchers Association, stated that both the Soil Products Association and most butchers are nearly out of imported meat.
Shenkaya noted that the meat was distributed among butchers and market meat departments. Currently, even butchers who purchased 100-200 kilograms have sold out their entire stock within two days.
The Soil Products Association reported that at least 30 out of 46 meat shops have already run out of the imported meat.
The sale of imported frozen lamb from the Netherlands began this week in Northern Cyprus.
The products were made available in 46 outlets across various regionsof the country. The price per kilogram was set at 375 TL.
