Driver Rescued from Car After Accident on Nicosia – Güzelyurt Road
A serious accident occurred on the Nicosia – Güzelyurt road in Northern Cyprus. The driver, who was trapped in the car, was rescued by firefighters.
According to the police press office, the accident happened on the main Nicosia – Güzelyurt road last night around 10:00 p.m. As the car was approaching the Alayköy industrial zone, the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to crash into a pole.
As a result of the accident, the driver sustained injuries and became trapped inside the car. Firefighters were needed to extricate the injured man from the wrecked vehicle.
After being freed, the man was taken by ambulance to Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Nicosia, where he is still receiving treatment. The police are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
