Official: Tufan Erhürman — 6th President of the TRNC
The Supreme Election Council of Northern Cyprus announced the official results of the presidential elections on October 20, 2025. The winner is the candidate of the Republican Turkish Party, Tufan Erhürman.
According to official data, Erhürman received 87,137 votes (62.76%), while his main rival Ersin Tatar received 49,650 votes (35.76%).
The council’s statement also includes results of independent and minor candidates: Arif Salih Kırdağ — 458 votes (0.33%), Ahmet Borgan — 198 votes (0.14%), Mehmet Hasgüler — 300 votes (0.22%), İbrahim Yazıcı — 331 votes (0.24%), Hüseyin Gürlek — 322 votes (0.23%), and KSP candidate Osman Zorba — 443 votes (0.32%).
Following the vote count, Erhürman becomes the sixth president of the TRNC. The information was published in the official announcement of the Supreme Election Council.
