Operation “Long Beach”: Serial Burglary Gang Busted in İskele
A major police operation in İskele has led to the arrest of a group of suspected serial burglars and the seizure of stolen valuables, cash, firearms, and ammunition.
According to a statement from the police press office, officers on patrol recently spotted a suspicious 41-year-old man wearing a mask and gloves, hiding among trees and carrying a set of burglary tools.
A subsequent search of the suspect’s home uncovered a stash of stolen goods, including firearms, ammunition, jewelry, cash, and various other items. Investigators believe the man was behind a string of burglaries that took place between May 9, 2023, and May 3, 2025, targeting homes in the İskele area.
Among the items seized were a 7.65 mm pistol, two magazines, 32 rounds of live ammunition, large amounts of foreign currency and Turkish lira, numerous pieces of jewelry, dozens of sunglasses and watches, alcoholic beverages, electronic devices, and household items.
Two more suspects — a 39-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man — have also been arrested. Authorities believe they may be connected to the crimes. The investigation is still ongoing.
