Chamber of Civil Engineers planted 400 saplings

The KTMMOB Chamber of Civil Engineers (İMO) held a tree-planting event in its Memorial Forest.
The event took place on February 21, with the participation of the chamber president, board members, staff, organization members, their families, and students — future civil engineers.
According to İMO, 250 saplings were planted in the forest last year, and this year, another 400 new trees were added to them.
The president of the chamber, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Ekinci, emphasized that giving back to nature what is taken from it is everyone's responsibility. He noted the important role of trees in reducing the carbon footprint.
The organizers stressed that the campaign is not a symbolic event, but part of a long-term strategy to combat climate change, preserve natural balance, and develop a culture of sustainable living.
