TRNC Parliament Approves Ministry of Agriculture's Budget
The General Assembly of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus has approved the budget for the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources with a majority vote. The approved budget totals 4 billion 856 million 371 thousand Turkish lira.
During the session, Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Hüseyin Çavuş highlighted significant achievements over the past year. He noted that production levels, cultivated areas, and livestock farming in Northern Cyprus have all increased.
Following the minister’s address, the budget for the ministry was passed with strong support from the assembly.
Additionally, during yesterday’s session, the General Assembly approved the budgets for several institutions under the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources. These include the Cyprus Turkish Dairy Industry Institute (SÜTEK), the General Agricultural Insurance Fund, and the Soil Products Institute (TÜK).
Today, parliament is set to discuss and vote on the 2025 budget for the Ministry of Finance and the overall TRNC treasury.
