Five trade unions will hold a march from the "Terminal" roundabout to the ministries on January 29
Five trade unions authorized in the public sector will organize a march in Northern Cyprus on January 29, 2026. The event will start at 09:30 at the "Terminal" roundabout and proceed along the route through the Kyrenia Gate to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment.
The march is organized by the trade unions KTAMS, KAMUSEN, KAMU-İŞ, KTÖS, and KTOEÖS. Speaking on behalf of the association, Güven Bengihan stated that the action will be carried out at the level of the unions’ management boards.
According to the official statement, the purpose of the march is to express disagreement with the rise in corruption accusations, the deepening of poverty, and the erosion of the social structure. The participants intend to convey a "strong message" to the public through the event, as formulated by the organizers.
Residents living along the specified route and using it are advised to take note of the time and location of the event. The organizers did not provide additional information regarding participation details or potential changes in the statement.
