Swiss Charity Team Sterilizes Over 150 Stray Animals in Güzelyurt
A team from the Swiss charity organization NETAP successfully sterilized more than 150 stray cats and dogs in Güzelyurt during a three-day campaign.

According to the Güzelyurt Animal Protection Association, the sterilization procedures were carried out at the former Animal Treatment and Rehabilitation Center of the municipality. Over the course of the project, a total of 152 animals, including cats and dogs, were sterilized.
The association explained that the initiative was led by NETAP, with the support of volunteer veterinarian Burak Toksoy and veterinarian Tunç Adataş. During the first two days, the team sterilized 70 stray dogs, followed by 82 stray cats on the third day.
The Güzelyurt Animal Protection Association extended its heartfelt thanks to Soley Schumacher Rustem, NETAP's representative in Switzerland, who organized the project, and Elisabeth Goldinger, the head of the veterinary team. The association also expressed gratitude to local veterinarians Burak Toksoy and Tunç Adataş, who volunteered their time and expertise to assist with the sterilization procedures alongside the NETAP team.
The statement highlighted that this was not the first collaboration with NETAP; the organization had previously conducted a similar sterilization program in Güzelyurt two years ago.
