Scholarships in Taiwan offered to TRNC students
TRNC citizens can apply for the Taiwan Ministry of Education scholarships for the 2026 academic year. Applications are open until March 31.
The program includes:
- Taiwan Scholarship — for Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral studies
- Huayu (Mandarin) Enrichment Scholarship — for Chinese (Mandarin) language study
Duration and funding conditions
- Bachelor's — up to 4 years (GPA not lower than 3.00/4.5)
- Master's — up to 2 years (GPA not lower than 3.50/4.5)
- Doctoral — up to 4 years (GPA not lower than 3.50/4.5)
Financial support includes:
- Up to 40,000 New Taiwan Dollars (NTD) per semester for tuition and mandatory fees
- Monthly stipend:
- 15,000 NTD — for Bachelor's students
- 20,000 NTD — for Master's and Doctoral students
Requirements for candidates
- TRNC citizenship
- High academic performance
- Certified language proficiency (English or Chinese — depending on the program)
- No prior receipt of Taiwanese scholarships
Applications are accepted online via the official program website. Documents must also be sent by registered mail in triplicate to the specified address.
Candidates invited for an interview will be notified by April 30.
