Three airport employees in Ercan were caught stealing items from suitcases
Three employees at Ercan Airport have been detained on suspicion of stealing items from passengers' luggage. Yesterday, the airport workers appeared before the court.
As established during the legal proceedings, the three suspects collectively opened a total of four suitcases and took out 20,000 Turkish liras (630 euros), 2,700 pounds sterling (3,111 euros), and 20,000 euros in cash, as well as jewelry, electronic goods, watches, and sunglasses.
According to cyprus-mail, among the stolen items were gold necklaces, designer watches, rings, diamond earrings, and expensive electronics, including tablets, mobile phones, and electronic cigarettes.
The suspects have been arrested for three days for further investigation.
