Turkish Airlines Opens New City Office in Lefkoşa
Turkish Airlines is strengthening its presence in Northern Cyprus: its city office in Lefkoşa has moved to a new address.
The opening took place in a formal ceremony with the participation of TRNC Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, the Turkish Ambassador to the TRNC, government representatives, journalists, and the airline's business partners. The event also featured the premiere of the promotional film "Ada Kıbrıs" starring actress Meryem Uzerli.
A representative of Turkish Airlines noted that the new office is a strategic step and a continuation of the company's more than 70-year presence on the island. According to him, for the airline, Northern Cyprus is not just a destination, but a region with deep historical and cultural ties.
Flights to Lefkoşa are among the first international routes of Turkish Airlines — air service between the island and Turkey was launched back in 1951.
