2025 Budget for the Ministry of Labor and Social Security Approved
The Assembly’s Committee on Economy, Finance, Budget, and Planning has approved the 2025 budget for the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, amounting to 5.43 billion Turkish Lira, with a majority vote.

Minister of Labor and Social Security, Sadık Gardiyanoğlu, and ministry officials attended the committee meeting.
It was reported that in 2024, Northern Cyprus experienced 75 workplace accidents, resulting in 68 injuries and 7 fatalities. This marked an increase in incidents compared to the previous year.
The parliamentary committee is also set to review and discuss the budgets for the Ministry of Finance and Revenue, as well as for the Security Forces Command (GKK) and the Higher Education Planning, Accreditation, and Coordination Council (YODAK), which operate under the Ministry of National Education.
Later today, the committee is expected to deliberate on the Central Government Administration Budget Bill for the 2025 fiscal year in its entirety, conduct a final vote, and conclude its work.
