Night Inspections of Restaurants and Bars Held in Famagusta
Famagusta municipal services, in cooperation with representatives of the District Office and the police, conducted a large-scale night raid on February 20, 2026. Inspections took place in the Suriçi area and on Ismet İnönü Avenue.
A total of 14 establishments were inspected. Authorities checked permits, sanitary conditions, product storage rules, and the overall condition of the businesses.
Following the inspections:
- 3 establishments were fined for missing documentation and non-compliance with hygiene standards;
- 7 businesses received warnings for various violations;
- In 3 establishments, expired food and beverages were seized and destroyed.
The inspections are aimed at ensuring public health safety and compliance with the law.
