Smuggled Powdered Milk Discovered on Iskele–Karpaz Highway
On March 9, at approximately 19:00, traffic police stopped a vehicle for inspection on the Iskele–Karpaz Highway near the Granel junction (Granel Çemberi).
During the search of the car, driven by 32-year-old Ö.A., officers discovered 15 bags of powdered milk that had not been declared to customs. The goods were seized as evidence.
Following the incident, customs officials issued the driver a fine of 75,000 Turkish Liras and initiated legal proceedings against him.
The investigation is ongoing.
