Planned power outage in Kyrenia on August 29 from 16:00 to 18:00
The Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority (Kıbrıs Türk Elektrik Kurumu) has announced a scheduled power outage in Kyrenia on August 29 from 16:00 to 18:00 due to network maintenance work.
According to the authority, the following areas will be affected: Naci Talat Street (Naci Talat Caddesi), Karaoğlanoğlu Street (Karaoğlanoğlu Caddesi), Karaoğlanoğlu Industrial Zone (Karaoğlanoğlu Sanayi Bölgesi), the surroundings of Kasgar Court Hotel, as well as the area between the junction near GAÜ (Girne American University) and Hasan Cafer Middle School (Hasan Cafer Ortaokulu).
Residents and businesses are advised to prepare in advance: charge mobile devices, ensure backup power for medical equipment, and, if possible, disconnect and properly store perishable goods. Hotels, restaurants, and shops with refrigeration equipment are recommended to prepare generators or other backup power solutions.
According to the Cyprus Turkish Electricity Authority, the works are planned within the announced timeframe; however, changes are possible depending on the progress of the maintenance.
