Limassol 1964 resistance martyrs honored in Kyrenia

A memorial ceremony was held in Kyrenia to honor the Turkish Cypriots who lost their lives during the resistance in Limassol between February 10–13, 1964. The event marked the 62nd anniversary of these tragic events and took place at the Kyrenia–Limassol Martyrs and Liberty Monument.

The ceremony began at 10:00 AM, bringing together representatives of local authorities, public organizations, and political parties. Participants included Kyrenia District Governor Revin Gürler, Deputy Mayor of Kyrenia Haşim Yücel, representatives from the Cyprus Turkish Peace Force Command and Security Forces, members of the TMT Mujahideen Association, the Association of Martyrs' Families and War Veterans, and various NGO representatives.

Following a minute of silence and the playing of the national anthem, participants laid wreaths at the memorial. Erbil Aydınova, Chairman of the Kyrenia branch of the TMT Mujahideen Association, delivered a speech highlighting the historical significance of the date.
