A fire broke out in a café in Lefkosia
A fire occurred in one of the cafés in the Metehan area. According to police information, at around 08:50 on Nazım Hikmet Street the fire started due to overheating of oil in a switched-on deep fryer.
As a result of the fire, the deep fryer was completely destroyed, and the café premises suffered from heavy smoke. Fire crews promptly arrived at the scene, brought the fire under control, and fully extinguished it.
No injuries were reported. An investigation into the incident is underway.
