At the beginning of the week, heavy rains with thunderstorms hit Northern Cyprus
According to the TRNC Meteorology Department, Monday, April 8th, the region is affected by low pressure and cool, humid air. Variable cloudiness with showers and thunderstorms is expected in Northern Cyprus today.
The air temperature has returned to seasonal climatic norms. In some areas, the thermometer will rise to 23°C.
The wind will noticeably strengthen and change direction to northeast. No storms are expected in the region today.
Meanwhile, three new emergency warnings from meteorologists are in effect in the region starting today: due to heavy rains, low levels of ultraviolet radiation, and the possibility of forest fires.
People with normal skin can stay in the sun for about 15 minutes. However, it is strongly recommended to wear hats and sunglasses.
The dust that hung in the atmosphere for almost the entire past week has finally dispersed.

Northern Coast: Kyrenia – 22°C, Lapta – 20°C, Akdeniz—23°C, Alevkaya—19°C, Esentepe—19°C.
Western Coast: Lefke – 21°C, Güzelyurt – 23°C.
Central Part: Nicosia – 23°C, Ercan – 23°C.
Eastern Coast: Famagusta – 23°C, Iskele – 23°C.
Karpas: Yenierenkoy – 21°C.
