Event to Mark International Women's Day to be Held in TRNC
The March 8 Organizing Committee has announced an event to mark International Working Women's Day. The gathering will take place this Sunday at the Ektam tent.
Earlier, committee representatives issued a press statement in front of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, outlining demands related to the protection of women's rights and the liberation of female labor.
The first to speak at the press conference was Ulfet Kral, General Secretary for Gender Equality of the KTAMS civil servants' union, who noted that the committee serves as an annual voice for women's labor, resistance, and gender equality.
Next, Ozten Ugurlubirel, Deputy Chair of the Committee for Women's and Children's Rights of the KAMUSEN union, read the committee's official statement.
Finally, Cansu N. Nazli, a member of the party council of the Bağımsızlık Yolu party, provided details about the upcoming event and invited residents to show their support.
