Lapta Authorities Threaten Fines for Dumping Trash Next to Bins
The authorities of the Lapta – Alsancak – Çamlıbel municipality have warned residents they will face fines for disposing of waste next to, rather than in, trash bins.
Photos of trash scattered around bins along the road have been posted on the municipality’s social media page. The images show discarded boxes, food waste in bags, and even a broken plastic chair, all left on the ground by individuals who did not bother to use the containers properly.
In the caption accompanying the photos, the municipality announced that those caught dumping waste next to the bins will be subject to fines.
