During the week in the TRNC, there were 5 fires and 25 incidents
According to the Main Police Department, from March 11th to 17th, there were 5 fires and 25 incidents requiring the intervention of rescuers in Northern Cyprus.
According to the weekly police report, the total damage from the fires during the past week amounted to 576,000 Turkish lira.
Among the probable causes of the fires are arson and short circuits in the electrical grid.
In addition to the fires themselves, firefighters were called upon to rescue people involved in road traffic accidents and citizens trapped in elevators, as well as to conduct fire drills, rescue a cat stuck in a tree, and save a dog that fell into an empty swimming pool.
