Ercan Airport Sees Over 95,000 Passengers During New Year Holidays
Ercan Airport handled 738 flights and welcomed 95,440 passengers during the New Year period, from December 28, 2024, to January 3, 2025.
According to T&T Airport Management, the company responsible for airport operations, on January 1, 2025, the airport handled 121 flights and 13,646 passengers.
On December 28, 2024, Ercan Airport saw 13,426 passengers on 105 flights, followed by 16,582 passengers on 117 flights on December 29. On December 30, 12,633 passengers were served on 102 flights.
On New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2024, the airport processed 73 flights and 9,352 passengers. On January 2, 112 flights and 14,534 passengers passed through the airport, while on January 3, the airport saw 15,267 passengers on 108 flights.
M. Serhat Özçelik, the CEO of T&T Airport Operations, stated that thanks to the implemented security measures, the airport operated without any disruptions during the holiday period, ensuring smooth operations.
