Lotte at Bauhaus: Screening at Goethe-Institut
As part of the GoetheKino series, there will be a screening of the film "Lotte at Bauhaus," followed by a discussion with art theorist Evagoras Vanezis and artist Kyriaki Costa. The film tells the story of 20-year-old Lotte Brendel, who, contrary to her father's will and the expectations of 1920s society, chooses a creative path at the famous Bauhaus school.
The main character is a fictional figure inspired by the life of real artist Alma Siedhoff-Buscher. The post-screening discussion will focus on the connection between Bauhaus ideas and the Cypriot cultural context.
