August 30: Clear Skies Expected in Cyprus with Afternoon Showers in the Mountains
According to the Meteorology Department of the Republic of Cyprus, Friday, August 30, will be influenced by seasonal low pressure, with an unstable air mass expected to arrive from Sunday onwards.
The first half of the day will be mostly clear, though some areas on the western coast may experience increased cloudiness. In the afternoon, isolated showers are expected due to cloud buildup, primarily in the mountainous and eastern regions.
The meteorological service forecasts that daytime temperatures will rise to around 37°C in the inland areas, 35°C on the northern coast, approximately 34°C on the southeastern and eastern coasts, up to 32°C on the other coasts, and about 29°C in the mountainous regions.
In the evening and overnight, the weather will remain mostly clear, although increased cloudiness is expected in the western areas. Nighttime temperatures are forecast to drop to around 22°C in the inland areas, 24°C on the western coast, 23°C on the other coasts, and down to 17°C in the mountains.
Over the weekend, isolated showers or thunderstorms are expected in Cyprus, mainly in the mountains, south, and east.
Temperatures are expected to gradually decrease until Monday, slightly below the average climatic values.
