The “Eco-Schools” action will take place on 2 November at the Mall of Cyprus in Latsia

CYMEPA, the national coordinator of the international Eco-Schools Programme in Cyprus, will hold its annual Action and Information Day on Sunday, 2 November 2025, from 11:00 to 16:00 at the Mall of Cyprus in Latsia.

The event is organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth and with the strategic partnership of Eurobank. The programme includes interactive activities, workshops, educational games and presentations for students, teachers, parents and the general public.

The aim of the action is to raise environmental awareness and promote practices in recycling, energy saving, waste reduction and environmental protection. The Eco-Schools Programme operates in more than 70 countries and includes hundreds of schools in Cyprus; it aims to foster active citizenship and engage students in decision-making on environmental issues.

CYMEPA Secretary General Dr. Michael Ierides noted: “Education for sustainable development is the most powerful tool we have to change the mindset of future generations. Through the Eco-Schools Programme, children learn not only to respect nature but also to take real steps towards a more sustainable future.”
