Two arrested in hit-and-run case on Rizoelia–Kalo Chorio highway

Police have arrested two men as part of an investigation into a road traffic accident that occurred on May 6, 2026, on the Rizoelia–Kalo Chorio motorway. The investigation also involves an alleged leaving the scene of an accident.

According to the investigation, evidence was gathered during checks indicating the involvement of a 31-year-old man, who allegedly rented the car, and a 23-year-old man, who is believed to have been behind the wheel of the vehicle at the time of the incident.

Both suspects were detained on the basis of court warrants to assist in the investigation. They are expected to appear before the court, which will consider issuing orders for their further detention.

The Aradippou police station is conducting the investigation, continuing to collect evidence and clarify all the circumstances of the accident.
