Swedish Detainee Escapes from Private Clinic in Larnaca
A Swedish national, who was in police custody, escaped from a private medical facility in Larnaca. The man had been arrested under a European warrant but managed to flee while undergoing medical care.

Police have identified the fugitive as Hans Johnny Juven, a 49-year-old born in 1975. He was being held at the clinic under police guard as part of ongoing extradition proceedings.
Juven was initially arrested on December 6 at Larnaca Airport based on a European arrest warrant issued in connection with financial crimes.
Authorities are now investigating how the suspect managed to escape custody while at the clinic.
At the time of his escape, the man was wearing black clothing.
The police are urging anyone with information that could help locate the fugitive to contact the Larnaca Police Department at 24-804060, the citizen hotline at 1460, or the nearest police station.
