Cyprus welcomed a record number of tourists: over 4.5 million people visited the country in 2025

The year 2025 was the best in the history of tourism in Cyprus. According to the Cyprus Statistical Service, the number of tourist arrivals exceeded 4.5 million for the first time, which is 4.5 times the island's population.
Record figures
- A total of 4,534,073 tourists visited Cyprus in 2025
- This is 12.2% more than in 2024 (4,040,200)
- The figure is the highest ever recorded
Tourist traffic remained high even during the winter period:
- December 2025 — 156,959 tourists
- An increase of 18% compared to December 2024
- This is the best December result ever
Main countries from which tourists arrived in December:
- Israel — 19.1% (30,020 people)
- United Kingdom — 19.0% (29,826)
- Poland — 11.3% (17,779)
- Germany — 7.4% (11,569)
- Greece — 7.3% (11,413)
The number of trips by Cyprus residents abroad also increased:
- In December 2025 — 193,007 trips
- An increase of 14.9% compared to December 2024
Most popular destinations:
- Greece — 28.4%
- United Kingdom — 11.0%
- Poland — 6.5%
