Cyprus Police Uncover Cache of Explosives at Cemetery
Cyprus police have discovered a stash of explosives and firearms at the Oroklini cemetery. Two individuals have been arrested on suspicion of organizing the hideout at the cemetery.
According to a police statement on the X platform, a raid by officers from the narcotics department (Ykan) was conducted at the Oroklini cemetery yesterday around noon.
In a significant hideout, law enforcement officers found several pistols and explosive substances. Following the discovery of the stash, police arrested two suspects aged 46 and 35.
It is known that the elder of the two detained men worked at a funeral home in the area and was observed by police engaging in suspicious activity at the cemetery.
Police are investigating whether these items were used in criminal activity.
