Mass Brawl in Limassol: Six Foreign Nationals Arrested
A mass brawl broke out in Limassol last night, resulting in the arrest of six foreign nationals.
According to police reports, the altercation occurred around 3 a.m. on Andrea Zaimi Street in Limassol. Preliminary information suggests that the clash was between two groups of Syrian nationals. What started as a verbal dispute quickly escalated into a physical fight, with an estimated 15 to 20 people involved in the melee.
When police officers arrived at the scene, the instigators attempted to flee. However, six participants in the fight were apprehended. All those detained are Syrian nationals, aged between 20 and 40. They were arrested for fighting and causing a public disturbance and were taken to the Limassol Police Department.
The exact cause of the dispute has not been disclosed by the police. The reasons for the fight are still under investigation.
