Minister of Shipping of Cyprus Meets with Royal Caribbean Leadership in Miami
Cyprus's Minister of Shipping, Marina Hadjimanolis, held discussions with the top leadership of Royal Caribbean in Miami. One of the leading players in the cruise market was presented with the competitive advantages and services offered by registering ships under the Cypriot flag. The prospect of establishing a maritime company in Cyprus was also discussed.
During her official visit to Miami from January 17 to 21, as part of meetings with leaders of the cruise industry, Marina Hadjimanolis met with the President and CEO of Royal Caribbean, Michael Bayley.
The meeting confirmed Royal Caribbean's intention to strengthen cooperation with the Ministry of Shipping of the Republic of Cyprus.
In addition, collaboration opportunities were discussed in a meeting with a Norwegian cruise company, another important player in the cruise market.
As part of her stay in Miami, the minister visited the Icon of the Seas, the largest cruise liner ever built, owned by Royal Caribbean.
Furthermore, accompanied by the Ambassador of Cyprus to the USA, Evangelos Savvas, the minister met with members of the Cypriot community in Miami.
