Cherry blossom festival to be held in Cyprus
On April 18, the village of Kampos Tsakkistras will host the festival "Ανοιξιάτικο Πέπλο στον Κάμπο," dedicated to the blossoming of Japanese cherry trees (sakura). The event will begin at 11:00 at Sakura Park.
The festival is organized by the local community council in cooperation with the Embassy of Japan in Cyprus. Its goal is to highlight the beauty of the cherry blossoms and connect elements of Japanese culture with the nature of Cyprus.
This year the program will be more cultural: visitors can expect activities related to Japanese traditions, as well as the opportunity to stroll among the blooming trees and spend time in nature.
The event is held under the patronage of the Minister of Interior, Constantinos Ioannou. Admission is free for visitors. ?
