The number of unemployed has decreased in Cyprus
According to a report published by the Statistical Service of Cyprus (Cystat), by the end of November 2023, the number of registered unemployed in Cyprus decreased to 12,662 people.
The published data for November were specifically adjusted to account for seasonal fluctuations to more accurately reflect the unemployment trend during this period.
The Statistical Service, relying on data from district employment centers, noted a decrease in the number of registered unemployed to 11,808 people in November 2023 compared to 11,873 in the previous month.
Furthermore, when comparing November 2023 with the same period in 2022, the number of unemployed decreased by 2,647 people, constituting a 17.3% reduction.
It is noted that this reduction occurred mainly in sectors such as tourist accommodation services, catering, trade, construction, financial, and insurance activities.
