Larnaca Police Investigating a String of Bakery Robberies
Larnaca police are investigating a series of bakery robberies that occurred within 24 hours, with three attacks on kiosks reported in the city.
According to Philenews, the most recent robbery took place early on Monday, March 31. Around 3:00 AM, five masked and hooded individuals entered a bakery in the Kamares area of Larnaca. At the time, only one employee was working at the kiosk. The robbers didn’t engage with her but quickly took the portable part of the cash register, which contained 350 euros. After the robbery, the criminals fled in a car they had previously stolen.
Larnaca’s police and criminal investigation team thoroughly examined the scene and surrounding area. At around 4:00 AM, they discovered the stolen car abandoned in the Mackenzie area. This marks the third robbery of its kind in just 24 hours.
In addition to this recent attack, two more kiosk robberies took place in Larnaca last week—on March 25 and March 29.
